How Data is Collected

We collect information from the Kotobee Books registration page when you are registering for a new account. We also automatically collect aggregated and anonymized data such as browser type, page views, clickstream, and usage. We use Google Analytics for this data tracking service.

Emails

When a user creates an account at Kotobee Books, they agree to receive email communications from us. You will first receive a short sequence of automated emails to guide you at the start of using your account. Afterward, you will start receiving a periodical newsletter containing helpful tips or articles.

Although we make every effort to keep our newsletter as relevant to you as possible, you can easily opt out of receiving such emails from us by unsubscribing at the bottom of any of the emails.

Kotobee Books doesn’t allow third parties to send emails to our users nor do we reveal users’ email addresses on the website.

Where do we store your information?

Your information is stored on our secure servers which are based in London. We make sure that daily database backups are made on our servers.

Kotobee Books will never sell personal information to third parties. Kotobee Books may disclose users’ personal data if required to do so by law or in good faith that such action is necessary to (i) comply with a legal obligation, (ii) protect against legal liability, (ii) or when compelled to do so to protect our users and associates against fraud.

We use MailerLite as our main mailing software to communicate with our subscribers. MailerLite is a third-party provider, which may process users’ data using industry-standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our newsletter. You can always opt-out from our newsletter by clicking on the unsubscribe link found at the end of each newsletter.

Data Deletion

You may delete any of ebooks you published on Kotobee Books at anytime. All you have to do is sign in to your account, and then you can delete the ebook/s from the ‘Books’ tab on your profile page.

Kotobee Books applies the best practices when it comes to protecting our users’ personal data.

We do our best to protect your data from misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction by using the finest data security measures. However, no online business or email transmission can be fully 100% secure, and therefore we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
